Are you a property owner, or do you have clients, who would like to help end homelessness, but aren’t sure where to start? Or perhaps you have some concerns that you would like to talk through? If so, we would love to talk with you!
CATCH would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our organization and one of our most exciting programs — the Landlord Partnership Program. This unique program is designed to place families and children experiencing homelessness into permanent housing. These are individuals who are working hard to turn their lives around and need a second chance. We hope you will join us in giving them that chance.
We understand that it can feel risky accepting tenants who have had problems maintaining housing stability in the past. However, our clients are committed to succeeding, and we are committed to helping them succeed. Yet, we cannot do it alone – landlords literally hold the key to our clients’ futures. That is why we offer landlords several special incentives, including:
- Security deposits. Landlords have the benefit of receiving a higher security deposit, (up to 3x the monthly rent).
- Rental Support. Rental support may be paid upfront, (prorated 1st month, full 2nd month). Receiving rent upfront allows our landlords to work confidently with CATCH.
- Damage and Vacancy Funds. When working with CATCH, landlords receive access to funds for damages or vacancies, giving them peace of mind.
- Problem prevention through regular home visits. Have you ever had a struggling tenant that you did not know how to support? Challenges with tenants refusing to leave a unit? Our case managers conduct regular home visits to ensure that clients are stabilized in their new environments, that their jobs are going well, and that they are getting the support they need. Regular follow up with clients allows us to identify and address potential problems early on – before they become irreparable. When you rent to families participating in our program, our Case Managers have your back! If there are ever challenges, our team will step in to help mediate any and all situations.
CATCH helps families with children get back on their feet. By providing housing first, then working with families to address their challenges, CATCH offers a new beginning which leads to self-sufficiency in over 80% of participating families. Founded in 2006, CATCH, Inc. brings together landlords, regional government, congregations of faith, local businesses, and other charitable organizations for one purpose: housing homeless families.
