When inventory is tight, agents rightfully look for new listings through a variety of prospecting tactics. Some agents may go door-to-door asking property owners of unlisted homes if they’re interested in selling.
While we’d all love to see more inventory come on to the market, it’s crucial that agents look for and respect signs indicating no solicitation and/or no trespassing at each property. Especially if there is a clearly posted sign stating “No Trespassing,” knocking on a door, parking in a driveway, or driving or walking onto a private road, are all in violation of state law.
