Recently, a member notified us that a company contacted them and falsely claimed to be a lead generation partner of ICCU.
The representative was hesitant to share information about their company, indicating potentially suspicious activity. When the representative said that ICCU was involved, the agent contacted an executive at ICCU to verify the relationship with the third party, and the executive denied any connection to the company in question.
Boise Regional REALTORS® applauds the agent for verifying the claim made by the representative. If you’re contacted by someone who says they are representing a trusted organization and you’re suspicious of whether that’s true, it’s worth checking directly with the organization before working with a third party.
