All voting in Idaho’s May 19th Primary will be by absentee ballot due to current health concerns related to the novel coronavirus or COVID-19. No in person voting will be offered. All voters (registered and new voters) must request an absentee ballot by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19. 2020 in order to vote. In order for your vote to be counted, you must send your absentee ballot back no later than June 2, 2020

If you haven’t already requested one, registered voters will be mailed an absentee ballot request form which they should receive in mid-April. If you are a registered voter, you have the option of mailing that form back, or you can go to idahovotes.gov/vote-early-idaho to request an absentee ballot.
- Need to update your voter registration? You can do so here. Remember, you’ll need to have a valid Idaho Drivers License or Identification Card to make any changes to your registration.
- Once you’ve submitted your absentee ballot, you can check it’s status here.
To vote in the upcoming primary, you’ll need to do the following:
- Register to vote. Remember, you’ll need an Idaho Driver’s License or Identification Card to register.
- After you’ve registered, you need to request an absentee ballot before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Once you’ve confirmed your registration, or registered to vote, make sure to request an absentee ballot before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 to vote in the primary.
- Register to vote by Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 8:00 p.m.
- Requests for an absentee ballots must be submitted by Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 8:00 p.m.
- Absentee ballots must be completed and received by the county clerk by Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 8:00 p.m.
- The earliest that results will be reported is at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
