REALTORS® Endorse Candidates for Ada County Highway District and Ada County Commissioner

General elections are coming up on Tuesday, November 5^th! Our Public Policy Committee and Board of Directors have approved the following local candidates to receive endorsements from Boise Regional REALTORS^®:

• • • Antonio Bommarito – Ada County Highway Commissioner District 1
    • Rebecca Arnold – Ada County Highway Commissioner District 2
    • David McKinney – Ada County Highway Commissioner District 5
    • Ryan Davidson – Ada County Commissioner District 1
    • Thomas Dayley – Ada County Commissioner District 3

 

Our association comes to these endorsement decisions by inviting every local candidate to fill out a questionnaire focused on issues such as housing, growth, and private property rights. From there, our Public Policy Committee interviews those candidates and provides endorsement recommendations to our board for the candidates that have a strong understanding of the issues that are most important to our members and local homeowners. Our state association, Idaho REALTORS^®, has also released state legislative endorsements which can be viewed here.

 

Here are some important dates to remember for upcoming elections:

• • • • Request an absentee ballot at voteidaho.gov. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Friday, October 25^th.
      • You can register and vote on election day in person on Tuesday, November 5^th. To find your polling place, visit voteidaho.gov.
      • In most counties across Idaho (such as Elmore and Gem County), early voting will begin two weeks before the general election on Monday, October 21^st. For early voting details for your county, voteidaho.gov.
      • Early voting in Ada County will begin Tuesday, October 15^th and will run through Friday, November 1^st (Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.). For early voting polling locations visit voteidaho.gov.
