FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 2, 2025 (BOISE, IDAHO) — Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR) and the Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® (FRAOR) are excited to announce the successful merger of the two organizations, effective in 2025. The merger, which was approved by membership vote, brings the Four Rivers region into BRR’s jurisdictional boundaries, expanding the regional reach to include Payette and Washington counties in Idaho and Malheur County in Oregon. This merger strengthens the collective voice of REALTORS® in the region, increases member resources, and enhances educational and advocacy efforts.
The merger has been in the works since September 2024, with both organizations operating under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Lisa Martin and Government Affairs Director Cameron Kinzer. Their guidance has demonstrated the advantages of consolidating services, which led to the Boards of Directors for both BRR and FRAOR recommending the merger to their memberships. Following the approval by both organizations’ members, the merger now moves forward with the formal approval of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and a filing with the Idaho Secretary of State.
Key Highlights of the Merger:
-
-
- Expanded Jurisdiction: BRR will welcome members from Payette and Washington counties in Idaho, along with Malheur County in Oregon.
- Increased Representation: BRR’s Board of Directors will include an additional seat for a representative from the FRAOR region for the next three years.
- Streamlined Services: FRAOR members will continue to receive the same high-quality services offered by BRR, including educational programs, legal counsel, advocacy, and more, with no transfer or new office fees due upon the merger.
- Enhanced Local Programs: BRR will provide specific services tailored to the FRAOR region, including a Housing Summit, annual educational programs, advocacy, and the Circle of Excellence production awards program.
