April is Fair Housing Month and BRR is proud to provide members with a variety of resources from the National Association of REALTORS®, Intermountain Fair Housing Council, and more.
Members can choose to take the At Home with Diversity Course virtually through BRR on April 9 or online through NAR, the new Fairhaven simulation training program, and an online video workshop called, “Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing.”
Join NAR and the Memorial Foundation, Inc. on April 15th for a special Facebook Live event commemorating Fair Housing Month, “The Past, Present, and Future of Fair Housing,” hosted by Soledad O’Brien and featuring U.S. HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge.
We have also compiled a variety of resources on fair housing and diversity from the National Association of REALTORS®, the Intermountain Fair Housing Council, and elsewhere, available here:
NAR and BRR also have relationships with the following organizations, each of which provides a variety of educational opportunities, referral networks, and information that any member may find helpful:
- National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB)
- National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP)
- Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA)
- The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance
For the groups listed above that do not yet have a local chapter, if you are interested in getting one started, please contact Breanna Vanstrom.
