The Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR) Board of Directors donated $1,000 to the California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) Disaster Relief Fund to assist REALTOR® members and association staff who were impacted by the devastating destruction caused by the recent California wildfires.
The fires that demolished parts of Northern California wine country claimed dozens of lives and destroyed thousands of residential and commercial buildings.
“It’s heartbreaking see all of the footage and photos that have come out of the fire-stricken areas,” said Katrina Wehr, 2017 President of Boise Regional REALTORS® and Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty Boise. “Lives were lost, homes and businesses were completely consumed, and we feel like it’s our duty as REALTORS® to help in some way.”

The California Association of REALTORS® established the C.A.R. Disaster Relief Fund in the wake of the devastating 2003 California wildfires. Grants provided by the fund were used to help members of the REALTORS® family — REALTORS®, their staff, and association members and their staff — who incurred substantial losses due to the wildfires. The fund continues to support REALTORS® and others who have been adversely affected by natural and other disasters.
