Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR) named the 2017 Circle of Excellence Award recipients at the REALTOR® Awards Gala on March 10, 2017:
- REALTOR® of the Year: Carey Farmer, Group One Sotheby’s International Realty
- Broker of the Year: Krista Deacon, Silvercreek Realty Group
- Rookie REALTOR® of the Year: Lisa J. Cunningham, Better Homes & Gardens 43° North
- Affiliate of the Year: Steve Cox, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation
- Darlene Manning Humanitarian Award: Pam Grove, Silvercreek Realty Group
- Code of Ethics Leadership Award: Bob Van Allen, Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group
- Unsung Hero Award: Alexa Head, Group One Sotheby’s International Realty
Carey Farmer, 2017 REALTOR® of the Year, is an associate broker at Group One Sotheby’s International Realty. A REALTOR® since 2004, she currently serves as Boise Regional REALTORS® Immediate Past President, and as a National Director for the National Association of REALTORS®.
As the 2016 President of Boise Regional REALTORS®, she increased association participation by 15%. Passionate about professional development and continuing education, she holds 11 REALTOR® designations and certifications. She is a Lifetime Top Producer, with more than ten years of sales exceeding $2 million per year.
Krista Deacon, 2017 Broker of the Year, is the designated broker at Silvercreek Realty Group, the largest real estate brokerage in the state of Idaho. After 14 years in the mortgage industry, Krista earned her real estate license in 2006. She quickly earned her GRI and her broker’s license.
Krista has been very active with the Boise Regional REALTORS® Foundation as well as serving on the REALTOR® Outreach Committee. She is the Immediate Past President of the BRR Foundation, a member of the BRR Board of Directors and the 2017 Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy.
Lisa J. Cunningham, the 2017 Rookie REALTOR® of the Year, is an agent with Better Homes & Gardens 43° North. She closed nearly $7 million in total sales volume in her first year as a REALTOR®.
Lisa is actively involved in the community and with the association. Not only did she serve on the BRR Education and Communication Committees throughout 2016; she is now Vice Chair of the 2017 Communications Committee. She is a busy mom of two daughters, sits on her neighborhood HOA Board, and is a PTA committee member at her daughters’ school.
Steve Cox, the 2017 Affiliate of the Year, is a branch manager at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, with 15 years of mortgage industry experience in the Boise region.
Steve is dedicated to high professional standards. He is the current Chair of the BRR Political Action Committee. He is passionate about the impact real estate professionals can make on our industry through advocacy.
Bob Van Allen, the 2017 Code of Ethics Leadership Award recipient, is the designated broker at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group. He is a consummate professional, passionately committed to education and professional development.
Bob earned his real estate license in 2003 and was later recruited to lead one of the region’s largest brokerages. He served on BRR’s Grievance committee from 2013-2015, and is currently a member of Idaho REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee. In addition, he currently serves on the BRR Board of Directors, the Data Strategies Committee, and the Intermountain MLS Board of Directors.
Pam Grove, 2017 recipient of the Darlene Manning Humanitarian Award, is an agent at Silvercreek Realty Group. Pam is very active in the community – through the Boise Regional REALTORS® Foundation as well as the REALTOR® Outreach Committee.
Pam has a heart for giving and a dedication to the community and the BRR Foundation. An active REALTOR® since 2006, she gives freely of her time and talents to many organizations and programs, including Paint the Town, Rake Up Boise, the Boys & Girls Club, and the Salvation Army’s Marion Pritchett School, to name a few. She has also been actively involved in the Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees for more than 20 years.
Alexa Head, REALTOR® with Group One Sotheby’s International Realty, was chosen by Carey Farmer, BRR’s Immediate Past President, to receive the 2017 Unsung Hero Award. The Unsung Hero is someone who was invaluable to the Immediate Past President during their term as president.
As part of Carey’s real estate team, Alexa provided professional support to Carey in her business while she served BRR as president. Alexa also got involved in the association, serving on the Young Professionals Advisory Board and the Government Affairs Committee.
