BRR member Laurie Barrera recently notified BRR that someone sent emails pretending to be her but with a bogus email address. We’re sure this isn’t an isolated incident but rather another variation on a long list of email scams that have circulated in recent years. As a reminder, it’s always a good idea to be wary of any email you’re not expecting, especially one with links or attachments. Call the agent directly using a independently verified phone number, not the number or email in the suspicious communication.
