BOISE REGIONAL REALTORS® ANNOUNCE 2022 CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNERS
Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR) named the 2022 Circle of Excellence Award recipients at its REALTOR® Awards Celebration on Friday, March 11, 2022:
- REALTOR® of the Year: Jeff Wills
- Broker of the Year: PJ Johnson
- Rookie of the Year: Keslie Astley
- Affiliate of the Year: Julie Schott
- Code of Ethics Leadership Award: Susan Weaver
- Good Neighbor Award: Morgan Hoffman
- Unsung Hero Award: Kyler Wartman
The REALTOR® of the Year award is the highest honor BRR bestows upon one of its members, recognizing the personal and professional accomplishments, as well as the community contributions of an outstanding REALTOR® member. This year’s REALTOR® of the Year is Jeff Wills of Amherst Madison. Jeff currently serves as the Immediate Past President for BRR and is the Chair for the BRR Nominating and Elections Committee. A longtime advocate of the REALTOR® Party and RPAC, Jeff was recently inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame for investing an aggregate lifetime amount of at least $25,000. He has served in various committee and board positions with the Intermountain Multiple Listing Service (IMLS), Idaho REALTORS® (IR), and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and has been recognized for starting a campaign welcoming people to the Treasure Valley. Jeff also hosts a Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving benefitting the Boise Rescue Mission.
PJ Johnson of ReDefined Real Estate was named BRR’s 2022 Broker of the Year. This award recognizes an individual’s achievements in their role as broker, as well as his or her commitment to the industry. Serving on the Board of Directors for BRR and IMLS, PJ keeps others updated with the latest industry trends, as well as rules and regulations. He is engaged and active in the real estate community, often participating in association events, and cares deeply about his clients and community, as he hosts a fundraising golf tournament benefitting a local charity each year.
Keslie Astley with Silvercreek Realty Group, was selected as BRR’s 2022 Rookie of the Year. This award is given to an individual who has established themselves as a rising star in the industry within their first two years of joining BRR. As stated by the person who nominated Keslie for the award, “Her knowledge of the area and understanding of how to facilitate buyers and sellers in a difficult market is extraordinary.” She helps with social work with families in need through St. Luke’s, and has volunteered with toy drives, Cameron’s Cure, and takes an active role in working with veterans and the elderly.
The Affiliate of the Year Award is given to a real estate professional who gives back to the real estate industry and supports BRR’s mission and its members. This year’s recipient was Julie Schott of Empire Title. Julie has served in leadership roles with BRR’s Affiliate Advisory Group and BRR’s Your Professional Network, playing an integral role for Paint the Town and Rake up Boise. She’s currently serving on the REALTOR® Community Foundation (RCF) board and is co-chair of the REALTORS® Outreach Committee. As stated by the member who nominated her, “She is the first to show up and the last to leave and is loved by the real estate community.” She’s been honored with multiple awards by her company and was asked to be a part of the Idaho REALTORS® Scholarship committee.
Susan Weaver, with Silvercreek Realty Group, was selected as the 2022 Code of Ethics Leadership Award recipient. This award is given to a REALTOR® who exemplifies what it means to abide by the industry’s national Code of Ethics in their dealings with clients, the public, and other real estate professionals. Susan has served on the Board of Directors for BRR and IR, BRR’s Public Policy committee, as well as the NAR Professional Standards Committee for several years. In addition to holding the GRI, CRS, and e-Pro designations, she is an Honor Society member which entails association involvement in many different areas.
Morgan Hoffman, with JPAR Live Local, was selected as the 2022 Good Neighbor Award winner. This award recognizes a REALTOR® who volunteers time and resources to the community through volunteerism. Morgan has been an ambassador for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance for over 10 years, and has been heavily involved with Team RWB, TIPPS, Neighborworks, and the IMPACT Club. She is also the creator of Kindness Coins, a program that encourages the joy of giving.
Kyler Wartman, with Silvercreek Realty Group, was selected for the 2022 Unsung Hero Award. This award is presented by BRR’s immediate past president and recognizes someone who was invaluable to their year as president and who makes a positive impact on our community or industry. 2021 BRR President Jeff Wills said this of Kyler, “I have seen him bless so many with his time and talents. From helping people install showers, to chopping wood, to flower beds, the list goes on and on.”
BRR’s 2021 Circle of Excellence Production Awards
Boise Regional REALTORS® Circle of Excellence Production Awards recognize REALTOR® members whose production volume reaches defined levels for the year as reported in the Intermountain MLS. Not all members or teams who qualify for a production award are listed. Participants have elected to apply and have submitted the application fee. Net proceeds from the awards will help build new affordable homes and rentals in our communities through BRR’s Housing Affordability Initiative in support of the LEAP Housing Trust.
