2021… what a year! We couldn’t be more proud of our members and the positive impact they had on our communities.
Now serving more than 6,000 REALTORS®, we can’t wait to find out what 2022 has in store for us. But before we officially turn the calendar, we thought it would be fitting to take a look back at the previous year in our “2021 Year in Review”.
During the last week of 2021 (December 27th – 31st), we’ll be highlighting the following areas each day of the week: Advocacy, Education, Events, Giving, and Progress.

+ Raised a record $220,000 for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) through various events and outreach efforts, such as:
- Reception Fundraiser at The Club at Spurwing in August
- Individual communication with both returning and new investors
- Aristotle Email campaign to boost $30 fair share numbers
- Continued distribution of the RPAC promotional video
+ Other RPAC records from 2021 included:
- 62 Major Investors (surpassing the previous record of 59 from 2020)
- 22 President’s Circle Members (members investing an additional $2,000 towards NAR approved candidates)
- 2,302 Fair Share Investors (members that invested at least $15)
+ Successfully endorsed 13 candidates who won their seats in local city council races, with just two of our endorsements losing to incumbents
+ Held four virtual 59 Minute Meetings that addressed the following topics:
- Q1: Residential Building Environment
- Q2: Growth and Housing Issues
- Q3: Rental Assistance
- Q4: Annual Reporters’ Forum
+ Hosted a Candidate Training Academy in conjunction with Western Magic Valley REALTORS®, helping equip and educate prospective candidates for public office
+ Launched the Delete Discrimination Grant Program, which offers grants of up to $1,000 to homeowner’s associations to remove discriminatory provisions in violation of the Fair Housing Act
+ Hosted over 100 classes, both in person and online, which included:
- 99 in-person courses
- Nine virtual livestream courses
- Two livestream ethics presentations
- One special topic webinar
+ Offered various designations and certifications, which included:

+ Provided 28 Code of Ethics Training opportunities, helping BRR members achieve their training requirement before the end of the 2019-2021 cycle, including hosting the Leigh Brown Ethics Day to provide an online, national presentation of the NAR Code of Ethics training
+ Delivered six off-site classes in partnership with three brokerages throughout the Treasure Valley
+ Partnered with The CE Shop to provide post-licensing and continuing education online courses
+ Hosted the Long Island Divided webinar, in partnership with other local associations and REALTORS® across the country
+ Hosted multiple flagship events throughout the year, including:
- Virtual REALTORS® Awards Gala where we celebrated the success of our members and featured a performance from national recording artist MAX
- Give Back Golf Tournament
- Housing Summits for Ada, Gem, and Elmore counties (delivered in a hybrid format)
- Member Expo featuring national speaker Shay Hata and insights from local appraisers (delivered in a hybrid format)
+ Held four virtual 59 Minute Meetings that addressed the following topics:

+ Installed incoming 2022 leadership at a ceremony held at The Club at Spurwing
+ Your Professional Network (YPN) hosted several events and fundraisers throughout the year, including:
- Virtual Scavenger Hunt
- Cornhole Tournament
- Rake Up Boise
- Diaper Drive
- Professional Panel Series
+ Announced a $350,000 donation to the LEAP Housing Trust to be gifted over the next few years in conjunction with Intermountain MLS (IMLS) and the REALTORS® Community Foundation (RCF)
+ Donated $10,000 to each of the 2021 RCF grantees, which included:
- CATCH
- Jesse Tree
- Life’s Kitchen
- Boise Schools Foundation’s Student Aid Fund for Emergencies (S.A.F.E) Program
+ Your Professional Network (YPN) and the REALTOR® Outreach Committee (ROC) completed community service projects to benefit CATCH, Jesse Tree, and NeighborWorks
+ Hosted an Elmore County Holiday party, which raised over $10,000 for local charities
+ Granted $2,500 to the Friends of Emmett Valley in Gem County through the RCF
+ Matched nearly $2,000 in member donations to charities throughout the Treasure Valley
+ Launched a new mobile app (BRR Connect) featuring affiliate member services, along with association events and classes
+ Association leadership presented at local and national conferences
+ Started a new weekly Market Minute update on social media, providing more real-time market information to members
+ Recognized 15 Professionalism Award Recipients over the course of the year
+ Developed and promoted four installments of the Consider the Code blog series, highlighting different parts of The Code of Ethics
