Program/Project Name: Support for homeless and housing insecure families.
Description: Giraffe Laugh will provide scholarships to children, giving them access to our high-quality early learning program while their parent works to strengthen their family through employment and housing. If a parent is at risk of losing their home (or they don’t have one at all), access to childcare is difficult to impossible to acquire. Parents are not able to adequately search for employment or housing without childcare. A loving and safe place for children to go during times of transition is incredibly important. Our goal is to provide a leg up for families in times of hardship. These past few months have been especially hard on our families. Due to the COVID19 crisis, more of our families are facing housing and job insecurity, and homelessness is a real threat to many in our community.
Organization Mission: We provide early care and education to young children in the Treasure Valley by ensuring school readiness, empowering families, and building strong futures.

Case management and rental assistance is provided to low-income households struggling to pay rent, at risk of eviction, or in the midst of eviction, to keep them in their homes. Warm referrals to other community resources are also provided to help stabilize the household. Jesse Tree provides “just enough” financial assistance and as much case management is needed to help a household establish stability and self-sufficiency.
