Who can apply for a BRR Production Award?
These awards are open to all primary and secondary REALTOR® members of BRR in good standing at the time of application and at the time that awards are announced.
What does "in good standing" mean?
The applicant has fulfilled the requirements for REALTOR® membership with BRR, per the association’s bylaws, and has not voluntarily withdrawn from membership nor has been suspended or inactivated from membership.
When will you accept production award applications?
Please see our important dates section for details and deadlines.
Is it possible to apply using a PDF or paper application rather than online?
The online application is preferred, but links to PDF applications are also available. Paper applications will be available and accepted during the same time frame online applications are available and accepted. Please see our applications section to access the PDF versions of applications.
Why do the award levels sometimes change from year to year?
Circle of Excellence Production Award Levels are re-evaluated each year in order to reflect roughly the top 25% of all production as reported in Intermountain MLS (IMLS). Please see our Production Awards Levels section to learn more.
What counts towards a production award?
To identify who may be eligible, we pull a list from IMLS (Resources > Statistical Reporting > Volume Ranking > Agent within MLS) using certain criteria (Status: Sold / Date Range: 2020 – 2020 / Number to Report: All / Report By: Both / Active Agent/Office Only: YES / Include w/ Zero Volume” NO / Board ID: ASOC, MTHM). When verifying applications received, we may pull activity through the Multi-Class search page (Listing Visibility Type: MLS Listing / Sale/Rent Equals: S / Status: ALL SOLD / Closing Date: 01/01/2020 – 12/31/2020) then generate two lists, one with the MLS number in the “Agent” field and then the “Selling Agent 1” field.
I was involved in a commercial transaction that is not in the IMLS. How can I be recognized for this production?
Can referral income, commission splits, bonuses, or other income be included?
Doesn't my broker need to sign my application?
How will production award winners be recognized by Boise Regional REALTORS®?
Production award recipients, who have applied and paid by the January 22, 2021 deadline, will be recognized on the BRR website, in a production awards insert ad in the Idaho Press, at the REALTOR® Awards Gala, as contributors to the REALTORS® Community Foundation Housing Affordability Initiative, and will be sent a digital marketing package noting the award.
I changed brokerages during the year. How do I include all of my closed production?
Since all individual transaction activity is being verified through the IMLS and individual applications do not require a broker signature, a change in brokerage should not impact your production application. If you still have questions about your specific situation, please email awards@boirealtors.com.
What does the production plaque and plate look like?
On your production application, you will be asked whether you want a “Plaque and plate” (select this option if this is your first year participating, or if you’ve previously filled up a plaque), “Plate only” (select this option if you’re adding to an existing plaque), or “No plaque or plate” (select this if you don’t need either this year).
When can I pick up my plate and/or plaque?
Plates and plaques are available in mid-March. BRR will first contact brokers to send a representative to pick up the orders for their office. Then, we open it up to individuals to pick up their awards.
Why is there an application fee for production awards?
The application and late fees cover the costs associated with processing these awards, the advertising, promotions, and plaques and plates. New this year, the net proceeds from the application fee will be donated to the REALTORS® Community Foundation to help fund a new housing affordability initiative.
It’s important to note that membership dues do not pay for the production awards program, nor for the REALTOR® Awards Gala event.
Can I or my brokerage promote my production award prior to being recognized by BRR at the gala?
We appreciate that you want to promote the award, however, BRR asks that you please hold off on any specific reference to BRR or our top producer awards in production promotions until after our event. This allows us time to audit and review our award applicants and announce our winners.
Brokerages are welcome to congratulate their agents who had a successful year prior to the gala without using BRR’s name or logo.
Production Award FAQs – IMLS Verification
Why did BRR changed the method for verifying production in 2019?
By requiring all production to be entered in the IMLS, it will allow us to streamline the production verification process tremendously, saving brokers countless hours by reducing the many extra steps for verifying off-market activity, volume splits, co-list agreements, etc. Another benefit is that this will improve the market data for comps and market statistic purposes going forward. This is the most efficient, fair, and automated process to recognize BRR members through the association’s MLS.
When does BRR pull the IMLS production data?
To confirm eligibility, BRR pulled production data from the IMLS as of Wednesday, December 16, 2020. The data will be updated again on Friday, January 15, 2020 to catch transactions that closed in the last weeks of December and were added as unpublished solds.
How should I enter off-market activity to the IMLS?
“Can I report a previously unpublished sold to the MLS and if so, how do I do it?”
Yes! Previously unpublished sold listings can be reported to the MLS. In fact, to ensure the MLS has the most comprehensive database of properties available for comparables, it is preferable to report everything you sell. In order to report a previously unpublished sold property to the MLS, you must have the buyer and seller’s permission. Completion of an MLS property data form with the property details and an owner signature will suffice. Enter the listing into the system just as you would a new listing but include the status as “Unpublished Sold”. Use the correct listing date and selling date.
Please also keep in mind the following information from IMLS: If you are entering previously closed transactions into the MLS to increase your production numbers for BRR Circle of Excellence Production Awards, please note you will be in violation UNLESS it is an Office Exclusive listing or you were involved in a For Sale by Owner and both the buyer and the seller agree to have it published. All residential, unpublished solds must have at least one exterior photo and all the required fields.
If you are entering either of these two types of transactions. THEY MUST BE ENTERED AS UNPUBLISHED SOLD. If you enter them as sold, you will be fined.
Please remember that you MUST enter all listings into the MLS regardless of the type once you have a relationship/contract established with your client.
Adding my off-market activity will not bump me up to the next production level. Should I still add it?
What if the details of the transaction are confidential?
What if a transaction is outside of the IMLS Service Area?
These awards recognize BRR members for their production, as reported to Intermountain MLS (IMLS) and within the IMLS service area, as IMLS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BRR.
Won't I get fined by IMLS if I add a transaction after the fact?
Please also keep in mind the following information from IMLS: If you are entering previously closed transactions into the MLS to increase your production numbers for BRR Circle of Excellence Production Awards, please note you will be in violation UNLESS it is an Office Exclusive listing or you were involved in a For Sale by Owner and both the buyer and the seller agree to have it published. All residential, unpublished solds must have at least one exterior photo and all the required fields.

Will you be able to accurately calculate production award numbers when an agent is involved in both sides of a transaction?
- To identify who may be eligible for a production award, we pull a list from IMLS (Resources > Statistical Reporting > Volume Ranking > Agent within MLS) using certain criteria (Status: Sold / Date Range: 2020 – 2020 / Number to Report: All / Report By: Both / Active Agent/Office Only: YES / Include w/ Zero Volume” NO / Board ID: ASOC, MTHM).

I have agents who work with me and our production is internally recognized as my production. Can I include that on my individual production award application?
I had transactions where I co-listed with other agents. How is that production recognized?
Production Award FAQs – Team Applications
How does the team award work?
In respect to this award, teams are defined as either: 1) a collection of agents who market themselves under a brand name distinct from their brokerage; or, 2) brokerages in which all agents operate as a team under the brokerage name, often with most, if not all, of the transactions being attributed to the broker in the MLS, and further, that all agents affiliated with the brokerage must be part of the brokerage team, and no other teams or individual agents are affiliated with the brokerage.
Production from all eligible team members is combined and recognized together. If team members would also like to be recognized individually, they need to fill out and submit the Individual Production Award application. All individual applications from team members should be submitted with the team application as one package.
What is an "eligible" team member?

Can I apply for an individual award if I'm part of a team award?
Yes! If eligible team members would also like to also be recognized individually, they need to fill out and submit the Individual Production Award application. The production on your individual applications must match the production noted for you on your team application.
What if I was only on a team for a couple of months in 2020? Can the team count my production?
Teams may only recognize the production of eligible members while they are on the team. If a team member joined or left the team partway through the year, only the production done by that member while affiliated with the team may be included on the team production application. All team production being counted towards the total dollar volume sold for the team must be included on the Team Production Roster as part of the team application.
I partner with another agent in my office. Can we combine our production and apply for a team award?
No. The team awards are open to teams that are established and a recognized team by their brokerage, and who market themselves as a team. Members who primarily work on their own, or who are not part of an established and recognized team, may not group their production together and apply for a team award. Instead, each member should submit the Individual Production Award application.
