The REALTORS® Community Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR), awarded sixteen local nonprofit organizations with grants totaling $16,000 through its annual competitive grant cycle.
Funds for grants are raised throughout the year by members of BRR, through a golf tournament, dues donations, vacation raffles, events, and more.
The mission of the REALTORS® Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Boise region through housing-related projects and grants. Since its inception in 1995, the Foundation has provided over $1.7 million in grants to qualifying non-profit organizations.
“As real estate professionals, we’re passionate about people and a sense of home,” said Danielle Cullip, 2019 REALTORS® Community Foundation President. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to make a real difference for those in our community struggling with housing and food insecurity by supporting these organizations. Each of us may donate and volunteer as individuals but it’s great when we are able to come together and have a greater impact.”
The 2019 grant recipients include:
Boise Rescue Mission
CATCH, Inc.
Education Foundation of West Ada School District
Emmett Valley Friendship Coalition
Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. Boise Valley
