Service Project: Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bunk Bed Build

The REALTOR® Outreach Committee is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to help build bunk beds for kids! Join us for a SHP Build Day!

Date/Time: Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Project Details: “We take a pile of wood and break out the drills, sanders, saws, and paintbrushes. If you don’t have any woodworking experience, don’t worry—we use a simple, easy-to-follow design. Also, experienced volunteers will be there to guide you through the stages of the construction process.” Learn more at shpbeds.org/get-involved.

Volunteering Requirements:

  • Each volunteer must fill out an Indemnification Release Form from SHP.
  • Due to safety concerns, no child under the age of 12 can participate in a Build Day.

Sleep In Heavenly Peace 3.16.19

More about Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP); “All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Idaho and across the US, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and their health. That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our organization has grown steadily over time, and we’re working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people.” Learn more at shpbeds.org/about-us.
